Initial Visit
Welcome to Conventions Wellness! Your first appointment with us is an essential step toward your weight loss journey. During this initial visit, which typically lasts between 45 to 60 minutes, we aim to gather comprehensive information about your health and tailor a personalized plan for you. To secure your appointment, we kindly request a $25 deposit that will be applied to the total appointment cost. Before your visit, please take some time to complete the new patient forms, which can be found on our website, as this will help us make the most of your time with our medical staff. If you’re unable to complete the forms prior to the appointment, don’t worry; we can assist you in our office.
As part of our commitment to your well-being, we require specific laboratory tests for all new patients, including a CBC, CMP, TSH, A1c, and Lipid panel. You have the option to bring in labs from another provider’s office or have them drawn at our facility for a fee of $75. Additionally, we need an EKG within the last two years; if you don’t have one, we can perform it at our office for a $50 charge. Our medical assistant will conduct any necessary diagnostic tests and take your vital signs before your consultation with our provider.
During your meeting with the provider, you’ll discuss your medical history, goals, and any concerns. Based on the information provided on your intake form and what is discussed during the visit, the provider will discuss treatment options with you. They will also offer recommendations for a nutrition and exercise plan based on their assessment.
As a token of appreciation for choosing Conventions Wellness, you’ll receive your choice of a complimentary B12, LipoB, LipoB Extreme, or vitamin D injection. If phentermine is deemed suitable for your treatment, it’s included in the cost of the visit. However, any other prescribed medications will be sent to your pharmacy, where you may have an additional cost. If you prefer to have a phentermine prescription sent to your pharmacy, you will still be required to pay the same office visit charge. The all-inclusive cost for a new patient visit with an EKG and labs is $200.
Please note that we do not accept insurance, but we gladly accept HSA/FSA and CareCredit as alternative payment options. At Conventions Wellness, we’re here to support you on your weight loss journey, and we look forward to helping you achieve your goals.
NOTE: Please be sure to fast for a minimum of 8 hours prior to your EKGs and lab work/blood draw visits.
Follow-Up Visits
During each follow-up visit we track your weight loss and monitor your blood pressure and heart rate. We ask about your current diet and exercise patterns and may make suggestions as needed to provide you with the best results. Additionally, we will review all of your medications to make sure they have not changed and evaluate for rare medication side effects. Typically, follow-ups are performed every month to promote accountability without hindering your comfort or privacy. With the flexibility of our clinic, appointments are not necessary for follow-ups and you are encouraged to return at your convenience during one of the five days we are open.
We are not a replacement for your primary care doctor and encourage you to stay up-to-date with annual physicals, blood testing, and current medications, including those for diabetes, cholesterol, blood pressure, thyroid, or psychiatric reasons. We are more than willing to work with your physician and current providers to ensure continuity of care for the best and safest outcomes.
